AC4’s Peter Coleman on the UN Secretary-General’s “Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace” report

In April 2016, the UN General Assembly and Security Council adopted twin resolutions on sustaining peace. To further realize the goal of sustaining peace, the UN Secretary-General recently released the report “Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace” to provide an update on implementing these resolutions and to offer recommendations for moving forward. AC4’s co-Executive Director Peter T. Coleman offers a response which highlights the importance of studying sustainably peaceful societies, using methods from complexity science, and prioritizing inclusive approaches.
