As part of our Perspectives on Peace series, we hosted this Perspectives on Peace: Conversation on the book “Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging” in collaboration with our partners at the Columbia University School of Professional Studies (at the NECR Program) and at the Morton Deutsch International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (MD-ICCCR) at Teachers College.

On November 4th, 2016, Sebastian Junger spoke about his new book “Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging” and the human drive to belong to groups defined by purpose. After introducing the book, Mr. Junger joined in conversation with the ACCo-Executive Directors and staff members as well as the audience in discussing the book through the lens of journalism and social science. Discussants included: Peter T. Coleman and Beth Fisher-Yoshida; Andrew Pham, veteran and writer; and Venera Kusari, who also moderated the discussion.
