Graduate Level Internship Opportunity
The Center for Community Leadership at the Jewish Community Relations Council of NY (The Center) is offering a paid internship for a graduate level student (Masters or Doctoral) that will focus on researching and documenting the history, methodology and impact of The Center. The Center, founded in the fall of 1993, envisions a New York City where diversity is acknowledged as a powerful asset, and where ethnic and religious communities work harmoniously together creating cross cultural understanding, building healthy and supportive environments, and offering equal access to economic, social and political achievement. The goals of The Center are to:

- Empower diverse community leaders to solve problems together
- Build collaborations and partnerships
Roles and Responsibilities
The Intern will work with the Director of The Center and its staff to design and conduct research on the history and impact of The Center. Duties may include:
- Interfacing and liaising with JCRC’s senior staff,
- Designing semi-structured and open ended interviews,
- Conducting interviews with lay leadership and communal partners,
- Analyzing interview data and other documents,
- Documenting the complex history of the communal and programmatic work of The Center and the methodology developed and utilized by this initiative resulting in a comprehensive written manuscript.
The Internship will begin in June, 2015 and its length of service will be developed in cooperation with the successful candidate. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
