How can we talk about the work we do, emphasizing the core principles and skills, so that others “get it?”

The field of conflict resolution and peacebuilding is rather new in terms of it being considered a profession. One of the challenges we are faced with in this situation is that it is not immediately obvious to most people about how our knowledge and skills can enhance the work they are doing, or address issues they are facing, unless they are in a conflict or post-conflict state.

On February 8th we are gathering some professionals in the field who will share their experiences of how they describe and showcase what they can offer to organizations, communities, schools, families, individuals and other entities, so that these potential clients can make the connections between what they need and what these professionals can offer. Ideally, these connections result in partnerships going forward.
