Are you interested in learning about the linkages between transboundary environmental problems and conflict in the Middle East, how they impact one another, and how students and local actors are working to address these important issues? Do you want to help create sustainable solutions to the most pressing environmental and social challenges?

On Monday, September 12, come learn about two unique international experiences offered through Columbia University’s Regional Environmental Sustainability in the Middle East summer fieldwork course and the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies study abroad program. These immersive programs bring together a diverse array of students from all over the world- including the US, Israel, Jordan and Palestine- to learn about environmental challenges in the Middle East, how practitioners are working to solve them, and how collaboration could help to contribute to peacebuilding in the region.

Alumni from both programs will be available to talk openly and honestly about their experiences.
