Please join SIPA alumna, Kyoko Shiotani, Ombudsman and Director of the Office of the UNOMS, to learn about internship opportunities in conflict resolution and mediation.

UNOMS provides informal conflict resolution services to UN staff members. The Office is guided in the conduct of its work by the core principles of independence, neutrality, confidentiality and informality. The Office is independent of all other entities, organs and officials of the United Nations and serves as an advocate for just, fair and equitably administered processes and does not assume the role of advocate on behalf of any individual within the Organization

Internships are currently available at UNOMS Secretariat Headquarters in New York, supporting various tasks such as case management, mediation, research, outreach, and the identification and reporting of systemic issues.
