Overview
The U. S. Fund for UNICEF (USF) is pleased to offer a limited number of internship opportunities in our New York City National Headquarters.  Interns assist in a variety of activities, including research, analysis, marketing, and communications, as well as special projects assigned.
Qualifications
Candidates must be enrolled and pursing a course of study at an institution of higher education.  Candidates are selected on the basis of merit.  Placement is subject to the needs of the organization, and the skills, experience, and interests of the intern.  In all cases, interns are expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the mission of UNICEF and the USF.
Compensation
The USF does not provide financial support for interns.  All interns are expected to make their own arrangements for travel, lodging and living expenses during the internship period.  Although internships are unpaid, the USF encourages interns participating in work-study programs and/or course credit from academic institutions.
Internship Duration
Length of internships and hours may vary depending on the needs of the specific internship, and the agreement with the supervisor.  In general, during the academic year preference will be given to candidates who are available to work at least two days per week for the entire semester, and three to five days for the summer.
