The Two Sudans Project of the Program on Peace-building and Rights invites you to a discussion with the Honorable Francis M. Deng, Permanent Representative of the Republic of South Sudan to the United Nations.

Ambassador Deng is an expert on conflict management and U.S.-Africa relations, having served in various diplomatic positions in the Sudan, including as Ambassador to the United States and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and served at the United Nations as Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Internally Displaced Persons and Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide before taking his present post representing South Sudan.
