Mourning the loss of Roger Fisher
We mourn the passing of Roger D Fisher, co-author of the landmark 1981 book “Getting to YES: Negotiating Agreement without Giving In” and co-founder of the Program on Negotiation at Harvard University. Roger Fisher died on Saturday, August 25 aged 90.
Fisher’s ideas along with those of his co-authors William Ury and Bruce Patton, have influenced almost all of us who teach negotiation and conflict management. Who is not familiar with the phrase: win-win?
