Call for Papers: 4th International Conference on Peace and Reconciliation (ICPR)

Are you interested in disseminating your research to the broader community?  If so, AC4 encourages you to share your findings at the 4th International Conference on Peace and Reconciliation (ICPR).

The ICPR conference will examine how visual art, music and film, can play a complementary role to that of governments and policy-makers in assisting people to actively engage in processes of reconciliation and peace-building.

This conference invites participants to consider what role the arts can play in helping contemporary humankind understand that there is an alternative way of being and living in the world which strives to assert the quest for peace and justice over the values and activities which divide, dehumanise and destroy.

The conference will be held from in Jerusalem, Israel from November 6-9, 2012 at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

For more information on the conference, we encourage you to peruse the ICPR conference website.

The deadline to submit abstracts is July 1st.  Please send the title of your paper and a 200-250-word abstract to Suzanne Parkes, ICPR Conference Administrator, icpr@yorksj.ac.uk.

If you are accepted to present your research, please follow-up with AC4.  We are here to support you and would be happy to share your endeavors with the Columbia community.
