OSHA Removes References to Climate Change from Page About Heat-Related Illnesses

In a report released on July 22, 2019 the Environmental Data and Governance Initiative (EDGI) released its latest report “The New Digital Landscape” detailing changes to government websites between 2016 and 2018 that reflect the Trump Administration’s anti-science agenda.

The report highlights how the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) removed all references to climate change from its webpage that details with how employers and workers can deal with heat related illnesses. A previous version of the website had discussed what actions the federal government was taking to prepare U.S. employers and workers to be resilient to climate change impacts, including extreme temperature and drought.
