Climate Science Misrepresented by Vice President Pence

On October 16, 2018, Vice President Mike PenceĀ misrepresented scientific research on the causes of climate change. He told reporters:

“As the president has said, the climate is changing, but what the causes of that are, are yet to be seen.”

In fact, however, scientific research establishes that anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions are the primary drivers of climate change.

Are there any indications that vp Pence has changed with regard to this Oct 2018 statement on climate change?
Are there any indications that should Trump be impeached a president Pence would be capable of pursuing a significantly different course from Trump on anthopogenic climate change and its consequences? I realize that I am asking for an opinion here and know that no one can predict with absolute certainty. I ask this though I believe that in any case not to impeach Trump would be morally wrong and that most Americans would see impeachment as the right thing to do at this point.
