2018-10-03 Climate Change Materials Removed from DOT Website DOT, Federal Government Censorship Climate

The Department of Transportation (DOT) removed at least two pages discussing climate change from its website. One of the pages had previously served as DOT’s “Transportation and Climate Change Clearinghouse,” providing a “one-stop source of information on transportation and climate change issues. The second page had included links to studied on the impacts of climate change on the transportation sector.

2017-12-13 References to “Climate Change” Removed from FHWA Program DOT, Federal Government Censorship Climate

The Federal Highway Administration’s “Sustainable Transport and Climate Change” program was renamed the “Sustainable Transportation and Resilience” program and several references to climate change were removed from its website.

2017-05 “Climate Change” References Removed from FHWA Website DOT, Federal Government Censorship Climate

References to “climate change” on the FHWA’s website and were replaced with alternate terms such as “resiliency” and “sustainability.”
