Climate
- About Climate Change and Adaptability in Nicaragua (Resolution A. N. No. 003-2009) 17 June 2009 (Spanish) amends law No. 217, the General Law of the Environment and Natural Resources to include protection of the climate and to assess Nicaragua’s ability to adapt.
- Creation of the Office of Climate Change (Ministry Resolution No. 014. 99) (Spanish) creates a separate department for dealing with climate change.
- Project RIOCPNU (NIC 50 – 62319) 2010 (Spanish) is a UNDP pilot program for the “Integration of risks and opportunities of climate change into national development processes and programming in countries of the United Nations,” and includes Nicaragua, Malawi, Cape Verde, Colombia and El Salvador.
