Connecticut v. Hyundai Motor Co.
Connecticut brought a state-law consumer protection action alleging that car manufacturers deviated from emissions-testing protocol and advertised their vehicles using inaccurate mileage estimates. The defendants agreed to pay $41 million to the state plaintiffs, and the plaintiffs released their consumer-protection but not related environmental claims.
