Funding for Oklahoma Science Fair Eliminated
On April 11, 2017, it was reported that several regional and state-wide science fairs would be cancelled in 2018 due to a lack of government funding. The cancellations affect the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair, as well as several regional science fairs, which have been funded by the state government for over 45 years. Due to state budget cuts, funding will not be available in 2018, forcing cancellation of the fairs.
