EPA’s Website Reclassifies Research Groups to Remove Climate Change Group
In a report released on July 22, 2019 the Environmental Data and Governance Initiative (EDGI) released its latest report “The New Digital Landscape” detailing changes to government websites between 2016 and 2018 that reflect the Trump Administration’s anti-science agenda.
The report highlights how the EPA edited its “Science Matters” website and reclassified research groups on the “Researchers at Work” page. The Climate Change researchers category was dissolved and the scientists moved into other categories such as Ecosystems and Health. The researchers’ bios indicate that the nature of their work has not changed.
