Benefits of Renewable Energy Downplayed by DOE

The Department of Energy (DOE) revised its “Bioenergy,” “Wind Energy,” and “Vehicle Technology” websites to downplay the benefits of renewable energy. Several references to renewable energy as a low-emission alternative to fossil fuels were removed from the sites. The sites now focus, almost exclusively, on renewable energy’s potential to create jobs.
