The Department of State issued a Presidential permit to TransCanada authorizing the construction and operation of the Keystone XL pipeline segment at the U.S.-Canadian border.

The Army Corps of Engineers granted an easement for construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, following Trump’s presidential memorandum (Jan 24, 2017) instructing the agency to “take all actions necessary and appropriate” to expedite the approval of the pipeline.
