Climate Change Information Buried on EPA Website

On May 6, 2017, the Washington Post reported that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had buried climate change information on an archived version of its website. According to the report, when EPA announced it was updating its website to reflect President Trump’s priorities, it provided an archived version of the site as it existed on January 19, the day before Trump took office. However, in the archived version, certain climate change pages have been buried. For example, “A Student’s Guide to Global Climate Change,” which included fifty pages containing educational videos and other information about climate change, is no longer accessible from EPA’s home page. The page is reportedly still available, “[b]ut is now very difficult for a casual reader to locate, even through a Google search.”
