C+S Co-Director Ben Orlove recently traveled to Bhutan for a month where he talked to local farmers to learn about their livelihoods and their views on environmental change. While in Bhutan, Orlove took time to document his trip in a series of blog posts for GlacierHub, a website that seeks to expand and deepen the understanding of glaciers.

In his posts Orlove explores the impact shrinking glaciers might have on hydropower in the country, talks to villagers about these shrinking glaciers and diminishing yak herds and visits a Bhutanese fortress in Punkaha that was devastated by a glacier lake outburst flood two decades ago.
