C+S Students Walk Across the Stage During GSAS’ 2014 M.A. Convocation

On Sunday, the C+S class of 2014, dressed in their Columbia blue graduation caps and gowns and walked across the stage in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Master’s Convocation. Duncan Watts, a Principal Researcher at Microsoft, delivered the keynote address, reminding not to forget to devote time to the things that make you happy.

Sunday’s GSAS ceremony could be considered a warm up for the big event: on Wednesday, thousands of students from across all of Columbia’s degree-granting programs assembled for  Commencement. The campus will turn into a sea of Columbia as student fill the steps of Low Library to celebrate the completion of their studies. Errrr… well for the C+S students, the completion of their coursework. They still have to complete a summer internship before their degrees are officially conferred.

That doesn’t make their achievements or graduation any less sweet, though. Congratulations to the Class of 2014!
