Support in Analyzing Contracts
Type: Contracts and Human Rights, Land Contracts and Transparency in Land-Based Investment, Policy and Advisory Work
CCSI assists stakeholders, researchers, and advocacy organizations by analyzing agricultural contracts and other resource contracts for human rights, fiscal, sustainable development, and environmental implications. This analysis has been requested and can be provided for large-scale commercial agricultural and extractives contracts, as well as community agreements and smallholder contracts designed to govern inclusive business models. CCSI is also developing a tool to assist others in undertaking these assessments on their own. In addition, CCSI hosts OpenLandContracts.org, which provides plain-language summaries of key contractual provisions.
