Michel Prieur, Emeritus Professor at the University of Limoges and President of the International Center for Comparative Environmental Law Program, delivered a talk, sponsored by CCSI, the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, Columbia Human Rights Institute, Columbia Law School Environmental Law Society, and the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law, titled “The Why and How of an International Covenant on the Right of Human Beings to the Environment.” HeĀ is a leading international thinker and advocate in the human rights and environment space, and has been promoting the idea of a covenant covering the issue for many years.
