What Effect Will the Transpacific Partnership Have on Domestic and International Climate Change Action?

Although the 30 chapters and more than 6,000 pages of the Trans-Pacific Partnership do not include a mention of “climate change,” there is no doubt that the agreements in the historic mega-treaty related to fossil fuel exports, environmental standards, investor protections, technology and other areas will have important implications for policy making to address climate change, both domestically and internationally. This panel addressed what some of those implications are likely to be.
